Acoustic Emission (AE) is concerned with the detection of naturally occurring high frequency structure borne elastic (or stress) waves. The birth of (AE) as an instrumented technique can be traced back to the pioneering research of Josef Kaiser which was published in his thesis in 1950.
These case histories and application notes demonstrate the true benefits of (AE) as a Machinery Condition Monitoring technique. The webmaster would like to thank all those who have sanctioned the inclusion of these documents/image files to enhance the knowledge of the end user.
